Homeschool with confidence and get your kids enthusiastic about learning.

Homeschooling in South Africa and the world is growing phenomenally, yet we know that for parents, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. At every stage there are so many options and you want to make sure you choose the best path for your children.

How do you do that?

How do you take on this enormous responsibility and keep your sanity and your sense of humour?

Your curriculum has changed our lives and enabled us to have this lifestyle and I know my kids are learning loads.

Put the joy into homeschooling in South Africa that you deserve

We believe that parents are the best people to take charge of their children’s education and that you can give them a top-quality education that delights and engages them at the same time.

We love helping families get rid of stress and discover a way to get the joy out of homeschooling that you deserve. We offer home education resources that make your family love the journey.

Take the ‘school’ out of home education and enjoy learning together.

Shirley Erwee and Wendy Young, the team behind Footprints. After homeschooling our own children for more than 20 years we know that most homeschooling moms want to achieve two goals through their home education journey:

  1. Confident and equipped children who step out into the world as young adults with a clear sense of direction and purpose.
  2. Confident and equipped mothers who know that they have given their children the best they could in each season of homeschooling.

Our Footprints programmes are designed with both parents and children in mind. We match these two goals above by:

  1. Giving you everything that you need to homeschool your children – delightfully.
  2. Support you as a parent as you navigate different challenges that homeschooling and parenting can throw at you.
  3. We cater for each child’s learning styles by making sure you have beautiful stories, hands on activities, self discovery, gentle guidelines, visual and written assignments and a host of educational outings to choose from.
  4. All our programmes build on each other so that by Grade 10 your children have the skills, know-how and confidence to seamlessly move into either Cambridge or GED school leaving routes. Our programmes are also compatible with AHSD for credits and we EXCEED CAPS requirements for Social Studies.

We can help you to keep calm and find the answers you need. We answer many frequently asked questions about home education in South Africa. We offer researched facts about homeschooling as well as insights from our own homeschooling journeys in South Africa.

Children fall in love with learning, when you don’t replicate the school system at home. We can show you how to do that. We give you the tips and the tools!

I’ve been drinking in the info you’ve put out there. My mind has been blown away by how simple it can be. I’ve been overwhelmed with the concept of being the “teacher”, not knowing that there is actually a fun way to learn together.
