Wendy Young has a heart for encouraging and helping other home educating families. She was born in Johannesburg and her family moved around South Africa as she grew up. After school, Wendy studied Beauty Therapy.
Later she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Geography and Biblical Archaeology & English Literature.
The Young family started their homeschool journey when their first child, Jessica was born.
Now, 19 years later and living in Cape Town, Wendy & Gavin have graduated their two elder children from the HOMEschool and they are both pursuing their careers.
Her websites Homeschool Curriculum for Life (discontinued) & www.toddler-activities-at-home.com (sold) were sites that she used to run to encourage homeschooling moms and pass on her knowledge to new homeschoolers. Also through her books, A Living Education, The Ultimate Homeschooling Mom’s Planner and her free A Living Education monthly ezine. (Now discontinued)
She also created The Ultimate Mom’s Meal Planner Ebook with 3 months of meals and recipes to help moms organise and find freedom in planning for their meals and enjoying being in their kitchen with their children.
Even as the face of homeschooling is changing in South Africa, she is still passionate about encouraging moms to embrace their homes and a gentle lifestyle with their children in the way that home education offers. Wendy offers families private homeschool consultations.
