South African
Homeschool Support Groups

There are a number of South African homeschool support groups in the various provinces around the country, as well as some online support groups that use eloops and Facebook to connect.

Since homeschooling is a new phenomenon in society, South African homeschooling support groups are where we find encouragement and advice from one another as we educate our children differently from the majority of the population.

You can read how to start your own homeschool support group to help you through each season as a homeschooling family.

OUR PERSONAL WEBSITES

We, Wendy and Shirley, are both dedicated to supporting homeschooling moms and families. Besides the South African homeschool support groups above, you will also find a plethora of useful information, articles, tips, activities and more on our personal websites.

Homeschool Curriculum for Life
Wendy's site, Homeschool Curriculum for Life, stresses that homeschool is not just about school, its about life.
She gives reviews of a selection of different homeschool curricula, extensive book reviews plus plenty of practical advice and articles to encourage you on this educational journey.

Wendy's desire is to encourage and equip homeschool moms to be godly wives, mothers and teachers to their families.

Shirleys Preschool Activities
Shirley's site emphasises that "learning is child's play". It is aimed at moms of little ones. She encourages gentle, age-appropriate learning activities for preschoolers instead of the rigours of formal learning programmes that are so often forced up young children too soon, by over-zealous parents.

Shirley believes that a mother is a child's best teacher and so her site is dedicated to giving ideas and tips that will build your confidence and stimulate your children as you prepare them for a lifetime of learning.
