Issue #20 - August 2008
Special EditionIn our last e-zine we introduced you to the concept of projects for homeschool children. We have continued to create these folders and there are now 7 available for you to choose from. There are still 2 more in the pipeline! The way that we foresee people using them is either as a hands on supplement to our Footprints Heritage Program or as individual stand alone unit studies. We also have had encouragement from parents who use Konos as a curriculum as they can slot the more South African units into their current curriculum studies when it is very focussed on American history. We also recommend these project folders to parents just beginning on their homeschool journey so that they can do something with their children whilst they take their time to find the right curriculum for their family. New project folders added this month: French Huguenots The Xhosa People The 1820 Settlers The Great Trek The Zulu People And we haven’t forgotten the little ones...be sure to check out our Otter Lapbook based on one of our Little Footprints story books. Free PrintablesTo further excite you as to the fabulous opportunity in using these project file folders we have decided to give away one as a free printable. Seeing that the Dutch people were the first European settlers in South Africa we are giving away The Dutch at the Cape Project File Folder! Click here to download your free project file. We do ask that you respect our copyright request, thanks! Footprints News In just under two weeks time Shirley and Wendy will be at the Annual JHB Curriculum Expo on the 16th August. We do hope that our Gauteng readers will come over to the Footprints and Sonlight tables to say hello! We will also have all these project file folders on display for you to see them in close up detail! More info on this particular expo can be found at Hope Forum If you need more email encouragement this month, please check out our Reaching Higher back issues page If you are wanting some encouragement in your Christian walk, be sure to visit Linda’s website www.revived-christian-woman.com Till next month, we wish you every blessing
