Issue #009 - August 2007
Choosing CurriculumIts that time of the year when homeschoolers in South Africa start thinking about their curriculum choices for the next school year. As the homeschooling movement has grown, so has the number of options to choose from and we find many parents are not sure about what all the options are and what the 'best' product on the market is. We don't believe that any one product is the best homeschool curriculum. Each one will work and achieve its purpose as a tool to use to educate your child. However, each family will find that certain products suit them better than others. As homeschooling parents become more informed about the options and more confident with experience, they seem to become more willing to venture away from the 'model' of curriculum with which they began and to try out different products, which may better suit their needs or style of homeschooling.
