Homeschool Year End 2009 It that time of year again where we can pause and reflect on our homeschooling year. Many families have a tradition of writing a ‘report’ for each child – for their records and for their pleasure. They love reading about their accomplishments at the end of each year. It’s a good time to look not only at the academic progress that your children have made, but also acknowledge the growth in their characters. Some support groups also hold prize-giving ceremonies where parents can publicly bless their children and praise them for their progress. Below are some examples of assessments/reports you could use: Homeschool Assessment Printable Report For more tips on compiling a portfolio of your child’s work this year, refer to Issue #1 of Reaching Higher.
AdviceAt this time of year, you might know prospective homeschoolers that are investigating homeschooling, finding out about various curricula and wondering if they will succeed. Please refer them to our Tips for Starting Homeschooling - a FREE 7-part email series of useful articles and info for new or prospective homeschoolers. If they are in Gauteng, encourage them to attend our free open day listed above or bring them with you! Till next time, we wish you every blessing
